More Ethical: VCs or Bloggers?

Wallstrip, an online business video blog, asks its investor Fred Wilson: “Do venture people have groupies?”

It’s one of a series of silly, softball questions the show’s moderator, Lindsay Campbell, asks one of the investors in the company she works for. The questions aren’t objectionable in and of themselves, but asking them to an investor in your own company begs disclosure.

It’s possible, of course, that the people producing the show don’t know who their investors are. But the site does have a permalink to Fred Wilson’s blog, where HE disclosed his investment in the startup before it ran a show on him.

For those of you keeping score at home, it’s: Bloggers: 0, VCs: 1
