Mountaingate promotes one and hires two

The Denver-based private equity firm has promoted Trent Sisson to principal and hired Will Benton and Jay Royston as vice presidents.

Mountaingate Capital, a Denver-based private equity firm that targets lower middle market companies, has promoted Trent Sisson to principal. Also, the firm has hired Will Benton and Jay Royston as vice presidents.

Sisson joined Mountaingate in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Sisson worked at Sprinklr Inc where he was a director of global sales operations.

Previously, Benton worked at Lightyear Capital while Royston was at MidOcean Partners.

In 2017, Mountaingate closed its inaugural fund at $395 million. Mountaingate targets investments in new platform companies that have between $5 million and $25 million of EBITDA.
