MTS Health Partners Adds Peter Crowley to Team

MTS Health Partners, a New York-based healthcare merchant bank, has named Peter Crowley senior managing director and operating partner. In addition to his new role at MTS, Crowley will remain an operating partner at JH Partners, a private equity firm managing close to $1 billion of institutional funds. Previously, Crowley spend 23 years at CIBC World Markets.

MTS Health Partners, L.P. (“MTS”), the New-York based healthcare merchant bank, announced today that Peter J. Crowley has joined the firm as Senior Managing Director and Operating Partner.

Mr. Crowley, 51, is an experienced healthcare investment professional, having been involved in over five hundred transactions, including public and private equity and debt financings and mergers and acquisitions for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical devices, healthcare services and healthcare technology companies. Concurrent with his joining MTS, Mr. Crowley will remain an operating partner at JH Partners, a private equity firm managing close to $1 billion of institutional funds, where he has been active since 2008. Before that, Mr. Crowley spent 23 years at CIBC World Markets, the last fourteen as global head of healthcare investment banking. Earlier, Mr. Crowley worked for Allen & Company in venture capital and Blyth Eastman Paine Webber in mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Crowley is the Chairman of the public company Progenics Pharmaceuticals. He is a vice chairman of the board of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and a board member of Continuum Hospitals and the Foundation Fighting Blindness. He is a committee member of the Harvard Alumni Association and member of the council of Rockefeller University. Mr. Crowley graduated from Harvard College in 1981 and received a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University in 1985.
