MVision boosts team with two senior hires

Placement agent MVision has named Michelle Paisley and Dennis Kwan as managing director for its Hong Kong office. Previously, Paisley worked at Macquarie Bank where she most recently served as division director in Asian equities while Kwan is a former principal at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Limited – Hong Kong.


LONDON – MVision, one of the leading independent international advisory firms, has today announced that it has made two senior hires for its Hong Kong office. Michelle Paisley and Dennis Kwan will join founder and CEO, Mounir Guen, who recently relocated to Hong Kong, to lead the firm’s expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. The appointments take the number of professionals based in the region to twelve, ensuring MVision has one of the largest local teams dedicated to fundraising in the Asia-Pacific region.

Michelle Paisley joins as Managing Director. Michelle brings a strong, global sales and investment background, with over 20 years experience, 18 of which have been spent in the Asia-Pacific region. Michelle will take responsibility for leading MVision’s sales in Asia and Globally, and joins the MVision leadership team.

Michelle joins from Macquarie Bank where she was most recently a Division Director in Asian Equities, having moved from Sydney in 2006 to run Macquarie Securities’ Hong Kong China Business. Previously Michelle held senior roles at Bankers Trust, and Citigroup in Sydney and at HSBC in London.

Dennis Kwan, was also recently appointed as Managing Director in the Hong Kong office, and will play an important role in MVision’s global origination programme as well as developing and maintaining relationships with investors in the Asia-Pacific region. Dennis said: “MVision’s track-record as an independent and insightful advisor is exemplary. Its advisory practice has consistently demonstrated the firm’s ability to provide creative solutions for clients facing complex strategic situations. I am delighted to have joined MVision and am excited to be part of growing the Asia-Pacific business alongside the rest of the firm.” Dennis was most recently a principal at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Limited – Hong Kong, and was responsible for overseeing investments in its global programme across private equity, credit and infrastructure investments. Previously, Dennis held senior operating and financial management roles in KPMG and Sony, globally.
