OpenGate Capital has named Damian Blazy as a principal in the North American operations team. Previously, he was vice president of portfolio operations at an unnamed New York-based private equity firm.
Steven Westerback has joined Atlantic-Pacific Capital Inc as a partner. He will lead the firm’s secondary advisory practice. Westerback was previously president and head of the Americas for Cebile Capital.
Pacific Western Bank said Aug. 6 that seven executives have joined to expand its venture capital coverage. They include Woodrow Thames, James Keeratisakdawong, Audrey Yen, Ryan Matava, Bryce Bewley, Steve Kent and Paul Persichette.
Oak HC/FT, which last week announced it raised $800 million for its oversubscribed third fund, announced several promotions. Nancy Brown, who joined the firm in 2014 and focuses on growth equity and early stage venture deals in healthcare, was named general partner.
Law firm Schulte Roth & Zabel has added private equity lawyer Daniel Eisner as a partner in its M&A and securities group. Previously, he was head of private equity practice at DLA Piper and Proskauer Rose LLP.
DFG Investment Advisers Inc, an alternative credit asset manager, has promoted Timothy Milton to partner and named Eduardo Cabral as a managing director. Milton joined the firm in 2014 while Cabral's work background includes serving as a senior investing analyst in Goldman Sachs' bank loan distressed investing group.
Promises Behavioral Health, a provider of behavioral health, substance abuse treatment and related services, has named John P. Hart as chief financial officer. Hart's work background includes senior executive positions at Surgery Partners and NovaMed. Promises is backed by BlueMountain Capital Management LLC.
Law firm Proskauer has named Leith Moghli as a partner in its global private funds practice. Moghli will be based in London.
L Catterton has named Chinta Bhagat as co-managing partner and head of L Catterton's Asia funds. His appointment begins August 30, 2019. Currently, he works at Nasional Berhad, the sovereign wealth fund of Malaysia, where he is head of private markets for South Asia and head of the global healthcare portfolio.
David Tan, who spent more than a decade at KKR, has left the buyout shop, according to Nikkei Asian Review. Tan has joined TPG in Singapore as a managing director, the story said. Tan is one of the founding members of KKR's Singapore office, Nikkei said.
