Aquantia Corp., a Milpitas, Calif.-based developer of physical-layer transceiver ICs, has secured $19.17 million of a $25 million Series B round. Pinnacle Ventures was joined by return backers Lightspeed Venture Partners and Greylock Partners. The company closed its first round in 2005 with over $12 million. www.aquantia.com

Helixis Inc., a Carlsbad, Calif.-based developer of molecular diagnostics products, has raised $10 million in Series A funding co-led by Domain Associates and Okapi Venture Capital. Silver Lake Partners has secured over $726 million for its debut middle-market fund, according to a regulatory filing. The fund is named Silver Lake Sumeru, and is being marketed with a $750 million target and $1 billion cap. www.silverlake.com
Agendia BV, a Dutch developer of molecular diagnostic services for oncology research, has raised EUR 25 million ($34m) in fourth-round funding. ING was joined by return backers Van Herk Biotech, Gilde Healthcare Partners and Global Life Science Ventures.
