Nielsen Holdings has rejected an unsolicited acquisition proposal from a private equity consortium that valued the US-based TV ratings company at $9.13 billion, Reuters reported.

Earlier this month, the Wall Street Journal reported a consortium that included Elliott Management was in talks to buy the company for about $15 billion, including debt. Brookfield Asset Management is also part of the consortium, Bloomberg reported.
