Oak Hill Adds David Bizer as Managing Partner

Oak Hill Investment Management has named David Bizer to the post of managing partner. Bizer was most recently an executive with Nomura, and will join Oak Hill’s existing managing partners Partners in leading all aspects of the firm’s investment strategy, the firm announced. Oak Hill is based in Menlo Park, Calif.

Oak Hill Investment Management (OHIM) today announced that David Bizer has joined the firm as a Managing Partner. Mr. Bizer is a respected industry veteran who was most recently Wholesale Chief Administrative Officer for Nomura. In his new role, Mr. Bizer will join the five current OHIM Managing Partners in leading all aspects of the firm’s investment strategy and relationships with clients and counterparties.

Mr. Bizer joins from Nomura, where he was Wholesale Chief Administrative Officer and member of the Wholesale Executive Committee. He was previously Global Head of Fixed Income Sales at Nomura and Head of Global Market Sales for Europe. Mr. Bizer joined Nomura in November 2008. Prior to joining Nomura, he was Head of Fixed Income Sales for Europe and the Middle East at Lehman Brothers. He was responsible for sales of all fixed income products and managed the firm’s fixed income sales organization in the region. Before that, he had managed the U.S. equity and European derivative sales organizations at Lehman Brothers. He also co-managed Lehman’s European equity sales group.

Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, he served on the Council of Economic Advisers under both Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush. Additionally, Mr. Bizer was a visiting assistant professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an assistant professor of Finance at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He has also published articles in the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, and the Journal of Monetary Economics, among other periodicals and publications.

Mr. Bizer earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan. He also holds an M.A. in Economics and a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University.
