Ken has more than 35 years of experience in human resources (“HR”) and organizational development, including talent management, talent acquisition, global HR operations and systems, and cultural transformation. Ken will consult across the Oak Hill private equity portfolio, working with its portfolio company management teams. The Chief Talent Officer role represents a new position within Oak Hill’s Senior Advisor program, adding to the ranks of industry and functional executives that represent a key element of Oak Hill’s investment approach and value creation strategy.

Ken has led HR management at various high-profile public companies, most recently at Biogen, a $65 billion publicly-traded company, and previously at Lenovo Group and Microsoft. Ken also held a senior HR leadership position at Dell. Ken began his career at PepsiCo, a company known for its best-in-class human resources practices, where he spent 17 years in a range of positions. Ken received his B.S. in Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Tyler Wolfram, Managing Partner at Oak Hill, said, “We are delighted to welcome Ken to Oak Hill’s talented team of operating professionals. Ken is a seasoned, all-around athlete, so to speak, who is well equipped to fill this newly created position. Talent management is intricately tied to our firm culture and values. Given this, we spent the time to research the landscape and create a role that would appropriately capture the richness of talent management and the breadth of job responsibilities required, from pre-investment due diligence to ongoing portfolio management, in addition to the ability to interact with our C-level executives. It took a unique individual like Ken, who possesses a deep set of operating experiences and a cultural alignment with Oak Hill, to fill this critically important position. After all, we are a ‘people business’ and believe in investing in our people – both internally and at our portfolio companies.”

Ken DiPietro commented, “I have great respect for the Oak Hill franchise and its 30+ year history of private equity investing, which has been driven by quality, high-caliber professionals across the Oak Hill organization and its portfolio companies. Because these ‘people’ are core to executing on all elements of the investment strategy, what excites me most about this position is the ability to have a central role in the development of this talent. In addition, I believe the Oak Hill culture is distinctive, and I look forward to working with good people to drive value creation in the ‘right’ way.”
