OneAccess, the European leader of enterprise access routers and business multiplay IP services, today announced the acquisition of AETA.COM.  AETA.COM, recognised in the market for their innovative networks transmission equipment, has achieved particular success in the Fiber Optic segment with its ultra high-speed Ethernet network point-to-point and point-to-multipoint solutions.

A successful diversification strategy introduced in 2006 has resulted in AETA.COM growing in both its traditional telco market as well as new markets including the aeronautical sector. Currently, AETA.COM is actively participating in the deployment of a Video and Internet system integrated in plane seats, and the creation of flight test devices for a major worldwide aeronautic manufacturer.

The acquisition of AETA.COM will enable French owned, OneAccess, to compete in the fast growing gigabit Ethernet market as operators update their network architecture based on high-speed end-to-end Ethernet technology.

The acquisition of AETA.COM is the third in 3 years for OneAccess. In 2005 the company acquired European Vanguard Managed Solutions, and in 2006 Telindus Access Products (TAP), a division of Telindus Group.  AETA.COM, has 25 employees and has two divisions, one in Plessis-Robinson (south of Paris) and the other in Aix-en-Provence (South of France). As a result of the acquisition, OneAccess headcount is now 275.

Bertrand Meis, OneAccess CEO said: “The acquisition of AETA.COM is very significant one as it considerably strengthens OneAccess as a global solutions supplier for the enterprise access networks. The product range we can now offer our customers includes Gigabit fiber optic technology and Metro Ethernet access solutions.
