NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ORIX Americas announced today that it has hired Barry Gold as a Managing Director and Joshua Herlands as an Associate Director. Both based in New York, Gold will oversee infrastructure investments, with an emphasis in the power, energy, transportation, water, environmental and social infrastructure sectors. Gold and Herlands will deploy the firm’s balance sheet using a full range of investment structures, including equity, debt, mezzanine and tax-advantaged equity, to meet ORIX’s goal of maximizing value for its shareholders, clients and business partners.
“As one of the most exciting investment asset classes, adding the unmatched infrastructure investing experience of Barry and Josh is not only a great expansion opportunity for the company, but is also extremely complementary to our existing businesses,” said Andrew Garvey, Managing Director and Head of ORIX Municipal Finance. “We believe our highly flexible and substantial capital resources will be a major competitive advantage in the infrastructure space.”
Gold has 30 years of transaction and investment experience.
