Ontario Teachers shares condolences with Brussels Airport victims

Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan has expressed its sadness and shock concerning the terrorist bombings this week in Brussels, Belgium. Ontario Teachers holds a 39 percent interest in Brussels Airport, where one of the incidents took place. The Toronto-based pension fund manager acquired the stake in July 2011.

TORONTO – We are deeply saddened and shocked by the tragedy in Brussels and our thoughts are with all of those that have been affected. We are in close contact with Brussels Airport and the Belgium Government, providing whatever support we can.

Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan acquired a 39 percent shareholding in Brussels Airport in 2011. Co-shareholders include Macquarie European Infrastructure Funds and the Belgian State.
