Pantheon hires new partner

Private equity fund Pantheon said Monday that it has named Jie Gong as a partner in its Asian investment team. Gong, who is based in Hong Kong, previously worked at Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners, where she most served as executive director and portfolio manager for Asia.


Pantheon, a leading global private equity fund investor, announced that Jie Gong has joined the Asian investment team as Partner, based in Hong Kong. Pantheon manages over USD $25 billion globally and was the first private equity fund investor to establish a local presence in Asia, opening its Hong Kong office over 20 years ago.

Jie joins Pantheon after six years at Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners, where she most recently was Executive Director and Portfolio Manager for Asia, leading Morgan Stanley’s buyout and growth equity fund investment and co-investment activities across Asia.  Prior to Morgan Stanley, Jie was previously with JPMorgan and the International Finance Corporation.
