Walt Holzer has joined Kirkland & Ellis as a Chicago-based partner focused on private equity funds and portfolio companies. He previously led the Chicago private equity practice for Jones Day.
Kirkland & Ellis LLP is pleased to announce that Walt Holzer has joined the Firm as a partner in its Chicago office. Mr. Holzer represents private equity funds and their portfolio companies in complex matters.

Mr. Holzer joins Kirkland from Jones Day, where he was the head of the Chicago private equity practice. He has led transactions for private equity funds, advised their portfolio companies and represented management teams in connection with leveraged buyout transactions. His private equity clients have included Benford Capital Partners, Francisco Partners, Kirtland Capital Partners, Morgenthaler Partners, Resilience Capital Partners, The Riverside Company, RockWood Equity Partners and Spec Limit Capital.
Mr. Holzer also represents clients ranging from emerging growth and other privately held entities to Fortune 500 corporations in equity financing transactions, acquisitions and divestitures. Those clients have included Cardno Limited, iBiquity Digital Corporation, STERIS Corporation and WIL Research Laboratories.
