PRESS RELEASE

LONDON – September 15, 2015 – Compliance Science (CSI), a leading provider of governance, risk management and compliance solutions, announced today that it is opening a UK office in London.

Reflecting CSI’s rapidly expanding business in the UK and Europe the firm has opened its first office outside the US in the City of London to serve its new clients. The firm will provide its regulatory compliance platform to automate clients’ Code of Ethics and employee misconduct oversight, including personal account dealings, gifts and entertainment and outside affiliations. Clients will be able to meet compliance and regulatory requirements with transparent reporting and audit trails.

“With our new offices we can provide local, on-the-ground support to our existing clients expanding into the UK and other new customers,” said Mitchel Kraskin, CEO of Compliance Science. “International and local firms increasingly need guidance to navigate local regulations and how local operations interact with the larger global regulatory framework. We’re here to help.”

The regulatory environment in the United Kingdom and Europe is shifting. The Financial Conduct Authority and the Bank of England’s Prudential Regulation Authority are working to complete implementation details of the Senior Managers Regime, increasing oversight on senior employees and executives at local banks. Pan-European regulations, including the Market Abuse Directive and MIFID II, will increase penalties for compliance errors when they come into force within the year.

“As market regulators increase the frequency and sophistication of their surveillance, it is more important than ever to arm UK and European buy- and sell-side financial services firms with the latest technology and tools to implement an effective compliance program,” continued Kraskin. “As an example, bank compliance and risk officers having to navigate new regulations such as the Senior Managers Regime can rely on our rich data and analytics, industry expertise, and reputation for superior customer service to give them an advantage in overcoming the challenges ahead.”
