PE-backed Confie buys Auto Insurance America

Confie, a portfolio company of ABRY Partners, has acquired Auto Insurance America, a car insurance provider serving the Nevada and New Mexico markets. The seller was Western National Mutual Insurance Company. No financial terms were disclosed.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, January 3, 2017 – Confie, a national provider of personal and commercial lines insurance, announced today the acquisition of Auto Insurance America from Western National Mutual Insurance Company.  Auto Insurance America is a leading provider of non-standard auto insurance serving Nevada and New Mexico.

Auto Insurance America has been in business for over 40 years writing non-standard auto insurance.  The company has five locations in Las Vegas, one location in Reno, NV, and four locations in Albuquerque, NM.

Mordy Rothberg, Executive Chairman of Confie, said, “The acquisition of Auto Insurance America expands our presence into our 19th State of New Mexico and their office in Reno opens a new market for us in Nevada.  We continue to identify opportunities that will further build our presence in the important Southwest market.”  Confie recently completed the acquisition of Oasis Insurance in Mesa, AZ that dramatically enhanced its footprint in Arizona.
