Foster City, California-based Conversica, an artificial intelligence software firm, has named Victor Belfor as senior vice president of business development. Previously, Belfor worked at OpenSesame. Conversica is backed by Providence Equity, Kennet Partners and Toba Capital.
FOSTER CITY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Conversica, the leader in conversational AI for business, today announced the addition of Victor Belfor to the company’s executive leadership team as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Belfor has more than 15 years of experience planning, building and optimizing alliances, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies in both private and publicly-traded companies. In this role at Conversica, Belfor will accelerate the value of the company’s strategic partnerships and build important new routes to market to boost revenue from untapped industries and geographies.
Belfor joins Conversica from OpenSesame, where, as a founding leader of the partnership team, he developed strategic partnerships with Oracle, SAP and Workday, quadrupled channel contribution to company revenue, and helped achieve 100 percent growth for three consecutive years.
“Victor is one of the few leaders with the experience and skill set to build the strategic partnerships to further our exceptional growth,” said Alex Terry, CEO of Conversica. “Whether deepening our technology partnerships, acquiring and nurturing new go-to-market partners or building strategic sales and marketing alliances, Victor is exactly the executive we need to leverage the outstanding efforts of our own teams. I look forward to his leadership in building the ecosystem that will bring conversational AI to more businesses around the world.”
Prior to OpenSesame, Belfor was Vice President of Business Development at RingCentral, where he helped build partnerships with some of the largest telcos and web companies in the world, including AT&T, Verizon, Rogers, BT, Telefonica, Orange, Telus, T-Mobile, Alibaba, and GoDaddy. At both OpenSesame and RingCentral, Belfor was responsible for growing revenue through partnerships and alliances.
“Conversica’s success in automating business conversations offers enormous potential for companies around the world,” said Belfor. “With a focus on strategic alliances, partnerships and new routes to market, I’m able to make a significant contribution to the rapid growth of the company. Not only will partners benefit from offering this amazing service to their clients, but I’m confident they will find countless opportunities to apply the technology in their own organizations, boosting their effectiveness and success.”
Belfor joins a seasoned executive team at Conversica, recently expanded with the addition of Brian Kaminski as Chief Customer Officer and Dr. Sid Reddy as Chief Scientist.
