HAZLETON, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–DBi Services, one of North America’s largest and leading transportation infrastructure operations and maintenance companies, has named Roger Zino as its Chief Executive Officer. Zino’s appointment signals the organization’s commitment to growing the company to the next level of scale and impact while preserving its family-founded culture and values. An experienced, energetic chief executive with a proven track record of success, Zino is a field-first leader who believes that full engagement of all employees leads to the best results. He has a fondness for founder-established, skilled field service businesses that leverage technological innovation. Zino’s background includes 14 years at ValleyCrest Companies, a leading family founded commercial landscaping services company. He started as President of Valley Crest Landscape Maintenance where he grew revenue from $140 million to over $650 million. He later served as the first non-family CEO as the Company reached the $1 billion mark and most recently served as Vice Chairman of Brickman-ValleyCrest, focusing on integrating a $2 billion landscape services company with 300 locations and 23,000 employees. Prior to ValleyCrest, Zino spent ten years with McKinsey and Company in Los Angeles where he was a Partner focused on service companies and service operations. Zino holds a BSBA from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard University. He also currently serves as an Executive Board Member of Spark, a non-profit that inspires middle school students in underserved urban communities to succeed in high school and beyond by engaging them with mentors in the business community focusing on future career possibilities.

“Roger will lead with the same passion, excitement and culture as my brother Neal and I have for the past 38 years,” said DBi Founder Paul DeAngelo. “DBi’s values and vision will continue to thrive, while our strategies and execution will evolve to capitalize on the Company’s growth opportunities, which I believe are greater than ever. I am positive that Roger and our team will be tremendously successful in dramatically increasing the size of DBi by investing in our people which will provide continued career opportunities for current and new employees, as well as investing in leading processes and technologies to strengthen our strong customer relationships.”

“DBi’s ambitious growth objectives will only further benefit from Roger’s expertise and style,” continued DeAngelo. “Roger’s cultural fit and range of experience in multiple roles and industries is a perfect fit for our dedicated employees, customers, diversified operations and strategic direction. We are thrilled to have Roger leading DBi.” Mr. DeAngelo will continue as a consultant to the Company and sits on the Board of Directors.
Mark Robinson, President and COO added, “We are very excited about Roger’s employee and customer-focused, field-based management philosophy.
