PE-Backed Heritage Food Service Buys R.G. Henderson

Heritage Food Service Group Inc., a distributor of OEM service and replacement parts for commercial food services equipment, has entered into an agreement to acquire the Toronto-based R.G. Henderson & Son Ltd., which operates in the same industry sector. Financial terms of transaction, which is expected to be completed within weeks, were undisclosed. The Fort Wayne, Indiana-based Heritage Food Service has been a portfolio company of US private equity firm The Jordan Company since 2011.


Heritage Food Service Group, Inc. today announced that it has reached agreement to acquire R.G. Henderson & Son, Ltd. of Toronto for an undisclosed amount.

Founded in 1896, R.G. Henderson is today the largest Food Equipment Repair and OEM Parts Distributor in the Ontario region of Canada.

Heritage and R.G. Henderson expect to complete the transaction within the next two weeks.
