Montréal-based healthcare IT company Logibec Groupe Informatique Ltd. has bought for an undisclosed amount ReaEvolution Inc., a specialist in medical charting and clinical decision support solutions for pre-hospital and emergency care. The deal follows the company’s acquisition of Artefact from IBM in 2012. Logibec was taken private in 2010 by OMERS Private Equity for $237 million. Société générale de financement du Québec, an investment arm of the Québec government, was a minority investor in the 2010 transaction.
Logibec Acquires ReaEvolution Inc., Provider of Clinical Software Solutions for Healthcare Organizations
MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(Marketwired – Aug. 26, 2013) – Logibec Groupe Informatique Ltée (“Logibec”) announced today it has acquired ReaEvolution Inc. (“ReaEvolution”), a Quebec-based company specializing in the development of medical charting and clinical decision support solutions for prehospital and emergency care. The entire ReaEvolution team, including its clinical researchers working at the CHU de Quebec, will be joining Logibec. Financial terms were not disclosed.
ReaEvolution’s breakthrough ReaScribe+ product, developed for resuscitation rooms, was recently recognized and bestowed the Award of Excellence by The Quebec Association of health and social services (AQESSS) as well as the Quebec Medical Association Award of Excellence for the development of a revolutionary technology platform.
