PE-backed Valicor buys certain assets associated with Dagger

Valicor Environmental Services, a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners, has acquired certain assets associated with Houston-based Dagger, which manages a nearly-completed centralized wastewater treatment facility. No financial terms were disclosed.

Monroe, OH, August 7, 2018 – Valicor Environmental Services (“Valicor”), one of North America’s largest providers of non-hazardous wastewater treatment services, has expanded its leading network of wastewater processing facilities through the acquisition of certain assets associated with Dagger Oil Recovery, LLC and Regio Vacuum Service, Inc. (“Dagger”).

Dagger manages a nearly-completed centralized wastewater treatment (“CWT”) facility in Houston, Texas. Dagger is positioned with superior access to major freeway transportation corridors and is in immediate proximity to many of Valicor’s partners and customers in the Gulf region. The facility is in the final stages of construction and permitting and will open in the near future.

James Devlin, CEO of Valicor, commented, “We are extremely fortunate to further develop Valicor’s leading network of CWT facilities in the growing Gulf region. The Dagger asset will complement our recent addition of two CWT facilities through the acquisition of MidState Environmental Services and represents another important step in Valicor’s strategy to add geographies in order to better serve new and existing customers.” Devlin added, “Dagger will play a critical role in building out our offerings of wastewater and other environmental solutions and we could not be more excited about this addition to the Valicor platform.”

Valicor is a portfolio company of Chicago-based Wind Point Partners. Wind Point acquired Valicor in June 2017 in partnership with James Devlin, who joined the company as CEO. Valicor’s acquisition program focuses on acquiring operators of CWT facilities as well as other providers of waste management and environmental services, including materials recycling, used oil processing, product destruction, landfill solidification, and related services. Valicor has completed three acquisitions over the past year, further enhancing its geographic footprint and value proposition for new and existing customers.
