PE Lawyer Joins Gibson Dunn

Edward Nelson has joined Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP as a New York-based partner focused on private equity funds and transactions. He previously was a partner with Dewey & LeBoeuf.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Edward Nelson has joined the firm's New York office as a partner.  Previously a partner with Dewey & LeBoeuf, he focuses his practice on the organization of private investment funds and transactions involving the funds.

About Edward D. Nelson
Nelson's practice focuses on private fund organization and operations.  He has represented sponsors and investors in a broad range of private investment funds, including buyout funds, real estate funds, emerging market funds and hedge funds.

Before joining Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP in 2005, he practiced at Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP.  He graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1994.
