PE Reporter Kelly Holman Goes Into PR

Kelly Holman, a former reporter covering private equity for IDD and The Deal, has joined PR firm BackBay Communications as an account director.


BackBay Communications, a strategic marketing and public relations firm focused on the financial services sector, today announced that Kelly Holman has joined the New York office as an Account Director. Kelly will focus on brand development, media relations and strategic communication programs for the firm’s growing financial services client base.

Kelly brings more than a decade of financial reporting experience at industry-leading publications to BackBay. He joins the firm’s New York office, opened earlier this year, from the weekly newspaper Investment Dealers’ Digest. As Assistant Managing Editor at IDD, Kelly reported on capital markets activity, investment banking, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, personnel appointments, restructuring and the latest developments on Wall Street. Before joining IDD, Kelly was a senior writer at The Deal LLC where he covered private equity deal making, leveraged finance and middle market M&A for its daily and weekly publications.
