PEPG adds two private equity execs to board of directors

Private Equity Principals Group, a networking group for private equity investing professionals, has named Leigh J. Abramson and Matthew Guenther to its board of directors. Abramson is a managing director at Metalmark Capital while Guenther is a partner at GenNx360 Capital.

NEW YORK, September 29, 2015 – Private Equity Principals Group (PEPG), a premiere networking association for investing professionals at private equity firms, recently elected two new members to serve on the Private Equity Principals board of directors.

At this past month’s PEPG board meeting, Chairman Neil C. Krauter welcomed the newest directors, Leigh J. Abramson of Metalmark Capital and Matthew Guenther of GenNx360 Capital.

The new members of PEPG’s board are as follows:
Leigh Abramson is a Managing Director at Metalmark Capital. Mr. Abramson is a former Managing Director of Morgan Stanley Capital Partners. He joined Morgan Stanley in 1990 and Morgan Stanley Capital Partners in 1992. Mr. Abramson is a director of Aqua Capital Management, Hoffmaster, Ni America, and Renewable Biofuels. Mr. Abramson has also served as a director of Aventine Renewable Energy, Camin Cargo Control Holdings, CP Power, Silgan Holdings, Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation, SynQor, Tegrant and several other companies.

Mr. Abramson received a B.A. in History, cum laude, from Amherst College.

Matthew Guenther is a Partner with GenNx360 responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing investment opportunities as well as working with management post transaction. Prior to joining GenNx360, Mr. Guenther was at Walden Capital Partners working on both new investments and portfolio management. Prior to Walden, he was at KPMG Consulting in their strategic/financial planning and analysis department. Mr. Guenther currently sits on the board of Precinmac, Salford, Vertex, Tooling Technologies and Vintage Parts.

Mr. Guenther earned his BA in History from Union College and MBA in Finance and International Business from Columbia Business School.
