Peter Bennett Joins Needham & Co.

Peter Bennett has joined Needham & Co. as head of the firm's private placement group. He previously was a partner with PE firm Consumer Growth Partners. He also has headed the private placement practices at Lazard Middle Market, Piper Jaffray and Deutsche Bank.


Needham & Company, LLC, a privately held, full-service investment bank, announced today that Peter Bennett has joined the firm to head the firm's private placement group. He will report to John Prior, President and Chief Executive Officer of Needham & Company.

Mr. Bennett has more than 20 years of private placement experience executing private financings for a wide variety of domestic and international corporate issuers. He has executed more than 100 private finance transactions that raised over $6.0 billion. Mr. Bennett has broad industry experience in the business services, consumer, industrial, healthcare and life sciences, media, and technology sectors.

Before joining Needham & Company, Mr. Bennett was a partner at Consumer Growth Partners, a private equity firm. During his career, Mr. Bennett headed the private placement practices at Lazard Middle Market, Piper Jaffray and Deutsche Bank. He also served as a senior private placement banker at Lehman Brothers and Chase Securities.

Mr. Bennett holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Minnesota. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
