Pinal Nicum Joins Adams Street

Pinal Nicum has joined Adams Street Partners as a London-based partner on the firm’s secondary team. He previously was with Coller Capital.

Adams Street Partners, a leading global private equity investment manager, is pleased to announce that Pinal Nicum has joined its Secondary Team as a Partner in the London office. Pinal joins from Coller Capital where he had been since 2001. While at Coller, Pinal focused on transactions in Europe, India and the Middle East.

He has worked on deals including the purchase of portfolios from Abbey National and Deutsche Bank, as well as India’s first two secondary transactions, which were done along with ICICI Venture and IL&FS Investment Managers.

Adams Street purchased its first secondary transaction in 1986 and raised its first dedicated secondary fund in 1988, making it one of the earliest secondary market participants. Adams Street continues today as a thought leader in secondary liquidity, helping institutional investors with asset allocation and risk management solutions. Pinal has joined a team of ten investment professionals dedicated to secondary investments. With senior investment professionals in four offices globally, and activities in the primary fund of funds, direct venture and buyout co-investment areas, Adams Street can leverage a broad platform of relationships and information to provide better liquidity solutions to institutional investors.
