Pinetree Capital Acquires Stake in Sendero Mining

South America-focused mineral exploration company Sendero Mining Corp., formerly QRS Capital Corp., has received an investment from Canadian private equity firm Pinetree Capital. The investment occurred through the combination of the Thunder Bay, Ontario-based Sendero with Halo Resources Ltd., whereby Halo became a subsidiary of the former company. Following the transaction Pinetree will own up to 11.4% of the total shares of Sendero.

Pinetree Capital Ltd. (TSX:PNP), announces that on July 10, 2013, through a business combination between Sendero Mining Corp. (“Sendero”) and Halo Resources Ltd., it acquired ownership of 2,275,524 common shares (the “Common Shares”) of Sendero and 2,275,524 common share purchase warrants (the “Warrants”) (each warrant entitling the holder to acquire one additional Common Share at a price per common share of $0.40 until July 10, 2014). In the event that the Warrants are fully exercised, these holdings represent approximately 11.4% of the total issued and outstanding common shares of Sendero as of July 10, 2013.

These transactions were made for investment purposes and Pinetree could increase or decrease its investment in Sendero depending on market conditions or any other relevant factor.
