Platinum Equity said Tuesday it has agreed to buy PAE from Lindsay Goldberg. Financial terms weren’t announced. Arlington, Virginia-based PAE is a government services provider. Reuters News reported in July that a sale of PAE could be valued at up to $1 billion.
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Platinum Equity announced today it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PAE from Lindsay Goldberg. PAE is a leading provider of enduring support for the essential missions of the U.S. government, its allied partners and international organizations. Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close by the end ofFebruary 2016 subject to regulatory approvals.
PAE, headquartered in Arlington, Va., supports the execution of complex and critical missions by providing global logistics and stability operations, technical services and national security solutions to customers on all seven continents.

Lindsay Goldberg acquired PAE from Lockheed Martin Corporation in 2011. Since that time, the company has completed four acquisitions in the past five years as part of a strategic growth strategy to incorporate new customers and new capabilities that align with its mission-focused company culture.
