Plink, an online-to-offline loyalty program has apppointed Marc Marin as chief marketing officer. This summer Plink closed a $3 million Series A round of funding from Grotech Ventures.
Plink, an online-to-offline loyalty program that rewards members for dining and shopping at their favorite national restaurants and offline stores, today announced Marc Marin as chief marketing officer.
Plink recently closed a $3 million Series A round of funding from Grotech Ventures (www.grotech.com) to accelerate member acquisition marketing and growth of the company’s sales, marketing and technology teams, as well as development of Plink’s platform for offline advertisers.
“Marc brings more than 15 years of successful online marketing experience and a very specific expertise in efficiently driving customer acquisition,” said Peter Vogel, co-founder and CEO of Plink. “Under his leadership and vision, I’m confident that Plink is positioned for continued success.”

Marin re-joins Vogel and several other members of the Plink team involved in Memolink.com, an online rewards program where he spent 10 years as CIO and co-founder.
Most recently, Marin was co-founder of PurePlay, an online poker site, where he served on the management team and the company’s board of directors since 2004. PurePlay has raised more than $18 million in venture capital funding from Bay Partners and Ron Conway, among other prominent Silicon Valley investors.

Marin holds a BS in Economics and an MBA in Operations Management from Binghamton University.
