Poll Results: About 40% Won’t Be Buying the New iPad

The new iPad is coming out but a surprising number of voters aren’t interested, according to our survey.

This week we asked if you would be buying the new iPad. Apple is expected to unveil its latest version of the much-hyped tablet next Wednesday. It sent emails to journalists this week inviting them to a special event in San Francisco, noting: “We have something you really have to see. And touch.”

The jazzed up iPad is expected to come with several improvements, including a better display and 4G capability. But 40% of voters said they weren’t going to buy it. Roughly 60% said they would buy it.

We weren’t prepared for so many deciding not to buy the iPad. In retrospect, we should’ve configured the poll to allow readers to tell us why. Maybe next week?
