The Blackstone Group has an opening for a financial analyst in its Private Equity Portfolio Management Program. The program starts in January and begins with a three- to six-month training period involving hands-on experience working with the private equity valuations team in New York City. This is followed by two to three years of rotational assignments on location at various portfolio companies, domestic or international. Applicants should have two to three years’ work experience in financial services. Previous valuation experience and working knowledge of Capital IQ and Bloomberg are a plus.

The successful candidate will be a partner and advisor to founders and GPs of new and emerging venture firms in New York City. Applicants should have at least ten years’ experience working in the venture capital and start-up ecosystem, preferably in New York and Boston. The position is located in New York.

Early-stage venture firm Bee Partners is seeking a portfolio operations principal, a partner-track opportunity. Responsibilities include assessing needs of portfolio companies, developing a network of resources and supporting the investment team. Candidates need knowledge of SaaS, other tech startups and/or strategy consulting roles; 10 years’ minimum work experience is preferred. Completion of a graduate-level program from a top institution is a big plus. To apply, send resume, LinkedIn and brief cover letter to michael@beepartners.vc. The position is located in San Francisco.

Metropolitan Equity Partners is recruiting a vice president/principal. The successful candidate will be expected to independently own and run a deal project from initial diligence through close, with minimal assistance. S/he must have strong enough technical skills to build models and perform financial and operating analysis without junior-level support. Qualifications include six to 12 years of experience working in direct lending, investment banking, management consulting, private debt or private equity. Demonstrable experience executing a transaction from diligence to close as the “deal quarterback” is required. The position is located in the Greater New York City area.

Flexis Capital is in the market for a private equity associate. As the fourth member of the investment team, the hire will play a critical role in each stage of the investment process, including deal sourcing, financial modeling, due diligence, transaction execution and portfolio monitoring. The firm targets investments in media, communications and consumer-focused companies, but no background in these areas is required. The successful candidate will be a second- or third-year investment banking analyst with strong quantitative and modeling skills. The position is located in the Greater New York City area.
