Private Equity Jobs of the Week: The Gates Foundation, Antares Capital, Y Combinator are hiring

A weekly roundup of jobs in the private equity industry – from buyout shops to venture capital funds to investment banks.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is looking to hire a principal for its $1.5 billion strategic private equity fund. The successful candidate will work closely with two or three of 28 strategy teams, including programs in global health, global development and U.S. education. Applicants should be associates or principles at venture capital, growth equity or leveraged buyout funds, with experience in sourcing, execution and portfolio engagement; strong buy-side experience at an investment bank or corporate business development team is also applicable. A minimum of five years’ experience is required. The position is located in Seattle, Washington.

Antares Capital is recruiting for an assistant vice president/vice president, investor relations. The hire will lead the creation and development of investor marketing and due diligence materials (private placement memorandums, pitch books, fact sheets, due diligence questionnaires), as well as handling requests from prospective and existing investors. Qualifications include seven to 10 years’ experience in asset management/investor relations or private credit underwriting. The position is located in New York.

Venture Lab is seeking an India investment associate. The successful candidate will support deal sourcing, analysis/diligence, transaction closing/process management, and post-investment assistance to portfolio companies. The firm is particularly interested in candidates with experience in India, working with social enterprises, venture capital investing, or financial inclusion and technology businesses. Qualifications include an MBA and at least eight years of relevant experience (technology, management consulting, venture capital, private equity or investment banking preferred). The position is based in Washington, DC.

Y Combinator has an opening for an investment associate with its Continuity fund, which provides follow-on capital and support to companies after they graduate from YC’s core program. The hire will be responsible for identifying and tracking YC companies reaching scale, as well as assisting founders and the operations team. Requirements include two to five years of work experience, including company analysis. The position is located in San Francisco.

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery LLP is seeking an associate, corporate advisory (finance). Requirements include four to five years of experience and knowledge of M&A and private equity. The position is located in Chicago.
