Private Equity Jobs of the Week: BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Harvard are hiring

A weekly roundup of jobs in the private equity industry – from buyout shops to venture capital funds to investment banks.

BlackRock is searching for a VP, private credit product strategy. The hire will develop strong relationships with key institutional and retail clients, lead internal evaluations of new investment strategies, partner with the credit investment and sales teams, manage investor or client reporting and attend investment meetings with portfolio managers. Qualifications include a minimum of five to ten years’ experience in financial services; fixed income or alternatives-specific knowledge a plus (ideally in credit, private equity-structured products). The position is located in New York.

Goldman Sachs is looking to add an associate to its Alternative Investments & Manager Selection Group. Responsibilities include conducting due diligence and evaluating secondary private equity transactions, co-investment opportunities, and managers for consideration as part of fund-of-funds and/or separate accounts mandates. The hire will also coordinate the execution of investments across all deal types and monitor the performance and risk profile of existing portfolio investments. Candidates need a minimum of three to four years of experience in corporate finance, M&A, leveraged finance or private equity. The position is located in New York.

Harvard Business School is hiring a research associate, data analysis, for a private capital initiative. The hire will be responsible for identifying and implementing the available technological solutions for meeting researcher data and processing needs. He or she will also serve as the project manager for faculty projects in private capital, ensuring they are appropriately staffed and executed using both internal and external resources. Qualifications include two to four years of experience in data analysis; an advanced degree in a quantitative field is preferred. The position is located in Boston.

Deloitte is seeking an investment banking associate. The hire will be a team leader interacting with all members of the Deloitte Corporate Finance transaction team and managing daily communications with clients. He or she will actively contribute to the strategic position of clients to the market, lead teams of analysts to support the creation of presentation documents, and advise legal teams on business issues in definitive agreements. Associates can expect to travel to pitches for new business, due diligence meetings with clients, and meetings with strategic and private equity buyers. Qualifications include an MBA and one year of experience as an associate-level investment banker. The position is located in Charlotte, Dallas, Chicago or Los Angeles.

Cota Capital, a technology-focused investment firm, is hiring an associate. Responsibilities include researching new markets/technologies in-depth and presenting findings to the investment team, performing due diligence on potential investments, and assisting portfolio companies operationally to improve their performance. Candidates should have two to six years of work experience at a top-tier investment banking, equity research, private equity, investment management or strategy/management consulting firm. Operating experience at a high-growth startup or bellwether technology company will also be considered. The position is based in San Francisco.
