Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Morgan Stanley, Fortress, Samsung are hiring

Morgan Stanley is looking to hire a private equity infrastructure analyst. The successful candidate will assist in the execution of new investment opportunities, managing existing portfolio companies, and fundraising. Responsibilities include financial modeling and valuation, preparing investment appraisal presentations, assisting in conducting asset due diligence, executing background analyses for investment thesis, and assisting in identifying, hiring and managing external advisors. Previous experience in private equity infrastructure is optimal; candidates should have one year in a similar position. The position is located in New York.

Fortress Investment Group is seeking a private equity analyst for its New Senior Investment Group, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust. The successful candidate will analyze and execute investment and asset management strategies; develop flexible financial models and perform ad hoc forecasting, analyses and modeling; conduct financial and business diligence and evaluate new product development and acquisitions; provide analytical support for debt and equity transactions, investor relations activities and the quarterly earnings process; and participate in strategic planning and budget processes. Qualifications include one to three years of experience as an analyst at a top investment bank; M&A background preferred. The position is located in New York.

Samsung NEXT is on the hunt for an associate, M&A. The group is a small team that enables the software and services acquisition strategy, execution and integration efforts globally for Samsung Electronics. Responsibilities include assisting in the evaluation, negotiation and execution of M&A, joint venture, business development and investment opportunities; helping to identify and vet potential acquisition opportunities; and participating in strategy development projects. One to four years of professional experience at a top-tier investment bank (preferably focused on software or technology), management consulting firm, private equity firm or corporate development division of a technology company are required. The position is located in Mountain View, California.

Marsh is searching for an M&A international advisor. This senior consultant will work with M&A engagement managers and M&A coordinators on U.S. and multinational projects for private equity and corporate clients. Duties include providing project management services; leading or participating in delivery of culture, playbook, training and other M&A projects; conducting due diligence; leveraging line of business consultants to deliver on subject matter expertise; and supporting business development activities. Candidates should have eight to twelve years in a consulting environment; client-facing leadership, project management and M&A experience required. The position is located in Chicago.

Cain Brothers is in the market for an M&A associate, healthcare. The hire will work on mergers & acquisitions, growth equity and debt capital raising, fairness opinions, valuations and strategic advisory engagements. Responsibilities include creation and oversight of presentations to senior management and board members of clients and prospective clients; preparing of offering memoranda, internal committee memoranda, pitch books and other materials; preparation of comprehensive financial models and valuation analyses including discounted cash flow, comparable company, precedent M&A transactions, LBO and merger consequence analyses; and managing the client due diligence process. Candidates need three years of banking experience. The position is located in San Francisco.
