Private Equity Jobs of the Week: ILPA, PartnerRe, AIG are hiring

A weekly roundup of jobs in the private equity industry – from buyout shops to venture capital funds to investment banks.

The Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) has three open positions. The managing director, education, is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the ILPA’s education platform. He or she will focus on curriculum management and program development and delivery, as well as marketing initiatives. The managing director, research and content, will be responsible for the strategic direction of the content platform, and (along with the management team) for building relationships with industry executives and expanding the ILPA’s membership base. The director of communications will develop and refine ILPA’s core messages, and work with internal and external content experts to create compelling deliverables. AIG is recruiting a private equity operations manager, to be responsible for handling all operational and reporting needs related to the private equity portfolio. Duties include coordinating data management, monitoring prospective and existing investments, and conducting required governance work. Three to five years of relevant work experience and a fundamental understanding of private equity operations are required. The position is located in New York.

PartnerRe is seeking an associate, strategic ventures. Duties include performing quantitative analysis, generating investment ideas, participating in due diligence sessions, and drafting investment presentations. The associate will also assist the management teams of portfolio companies with strategic initiatives, M&A transactions, and market assessments. Requirements include three to six years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, corporate development, and/or transaction advisory services. The position is located in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Merchant bank Belstone Capital is looking to hire a VP/principal, deal execution, to help lead M&A and manage relationships. Interest in the nexus of entrepreneurship, operations, and technology is a plus, as Belstone also deploys capital with partners and receives stakes in operating companies. Requirements include four to eight years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity. Baker Tilly Capital is in the market for a mergers and acquisitions associate. The successful candidate will support deal teams in the execution of M&A transactions and corporate finance advisory assignments. Other responsibilities include advising both strategic and private equity buyers and sellers on alternative strategies for acquisition, disposition, and restructuring of businesses. Applicants should have a degree in finance, accounting, or economics, preferably with an MBA or CPA, and two to four years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, commercial banking, consulting, and/or public accounting. The position is located in Chicago or Milwaukee.
