The hire will conduct primary, quantitative and qualitative research of investment opportunities; perform due diligence on strategies, investment teams and asset management firms; and monitor existing client exposures to investment strategies/managers. Three to seven years of investment manager research or asset management, ideally within alternative asset classes, are required. The position is located in New York.

Barings is hiring a private equity investment analyst to join its transportation and logistics team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for developing detailed financial models for existing and potential investments. She will also support the origination, underwriting, closing, and monitoring of Barings’ existing and future transportation investments. Qualifications include two to six years of experience working for an investment bank, consulting firm, investment management firm, or other financial institution. Experience with transport and/or structured finance is desirable. The position is located in New Haven, CT.
