Private Equity Jobs of the Week: PepsiCo, Kaiser, Middleland Capital hiring

PepsiCo is looking for a director, mergers and acquisitions. The hire will be responsible for executing strategic transactions for PepsiCo globally, including M&A, divestitures, joint ventures, and minority investments. Qualifications include five to seven years of post-MBA transaction experience in either corporate development/M&A or investment banking. PE experience also applicable. Knowledge of the food and beverage industry, or a background in consumer products, is a plus. MBA highly preferred. The position is located in Purchase, New York.

BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina has an opening for a head of strategic investments. The successful candidate will oversee the deal process at Mosaic Health Solutions, from origination to closing, as well as manage relationships with PE limited partners. Qualifications include a minimum of ten years of experience in finance, with at least eight years in M&A. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred. The position is located in Durham.

Fusion is seeking a senior director of strategy & corporate development. The hire will help evaluate and execute M&A transactions and investments for Univision & Fusion Media Group and its portfolio businesses. Responsibilities include leading all valuation analysis, driving due diligence, and playing an active role in deal structuring. Candidates need five to seven years of experience in private equity, venture capital, corporate M&A, or investment banking. Experience in the consumer internet or media space is preferred. Spanish skills are welcome. The position is located in Miami.

Middleland Capital is recruiting a senior associate/principal. The hire will support a new venture capital fund focusing on early-stage high-tech companies in Virginia. Duties include identifying investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, structuring and negotiating deal terms, taking board or observer seats at portfolio companies, and assisting with fund administration and reporting. Applicants should have two to four years of work experience in VC/PE or M&A/corporate development. Knowledge of early-stage startups is preferred. The position is located in Roanoke, Virginia.

Kaiser Associates is in the market for a principal, strategy consulting, to join its private equity/mergers & acquisitions practice. Responsibilities include analyzing research and client-provided information to develop conclusions and recommendations, writing and delivering effective business presentations, and serving as key point of contact between team members, senior officers of the firm, and clients. Qualifications include five to seven years at a top strategy consulting firm with a focus on addressing commercial diligence requirements. The position is located in the Washington D.C. metro area.
