Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Ares, Baird and Navitas are hiring

Ares Management Corporation is on the hunt for a vice president of real estate equity. The hire will participate in the sourcing and assessment of investment opportunities; identify and understand a project’s market positioning; and gather market information through independent field work and direct contact with brokers, appraisers and developers. Also, he or she will synthesize information and draw a conclusion on the business plan. Candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, real estate or a related field. Five to eight years of commercial real estate investment or underwriting experience is required; prior experience in a principal investing role is strongly preferred, as is experience in negotiating transaction documents. The position is in New York City.


Navitas Capital is searching for an associate or principal. The hire will serve as a primary point of contact for senior investor and portfolio company management teams; develop and nurture long-term, trusting relationships with key Navitas stakeholders; and support the deal review and investment process. Candidates should have three plus years of work experience in management consulting (preferred), venture capital/private equity or other relevant areas; a bachelor’s degree is required. An MBA or comparable work experience is preferred. The position is in Chicago.


Baird Capital is looking for a venture capital associate. The hire will be involved in all aspects of venture capital investing, including financial modeling, transaction sourcing, due diligence and valuation, structuring, documentation and portfolio company management. Candidates should have an accomplished track record of at least two to three years in a private equity/venture capital or investment banking analyst role. He or she should have a strong academic background and leading G.P.A. from a top-tier institution. Experience or background in healthcare is strongly preferred. The position is in Chicago.

Blackstone is seeking to hire an analyst for its private equity investor relations and reporting group. The role primarily focuses on financial information, sensitivity analysis, performance related data, research and legal/regulatory matters in executing on the marketing needs of all prospective, current and closed funds within the alternative asset manager’s corporate private equity business. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or economics with strong GPA; two to four years of related experience is required. The position is in New York City.
