Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Bain Capital, AIG and Blackstone are hiring

AIG Investments is searching for a vice president of private equity funds. The hire will assist the private equity portfolio manager with the PE funds portfolio, which includes conducting investment due diligence, portfolio construction, portfolio monitoring, risk management as well as other tasks as they arise.  Candidates should have five plus years of relevant PE work experience as well as the ability to assess business, legal, and accounting issues involved in the evaluation of PE investments. The position is in New York City.

Bain Capital is looking to hire a senior finance associate for the private equity group. The hire will be responsible for administration of private equity limited partnerships, which include quarterly US GAAP basis reporting, capital calls and distributions. Also, he or she will be working with finance managers, directors and vice presidents on projects to enhance the product of the team, department and firm. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting; and two to four years of accounting experience. A CPA is preferred. The position is in Boston.

Blackstone is on the hunt for a BIS client coverage associate for its Strategic Partners unit. The hire will manage strategic private equity advisory relationships with key insurance company clients. Also, he or she will support a team serving as the primary client liaison for BIS’ insurance company clients with respect to their private equity portfolios. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of professional experience. Also, work experience in private equity, asset management and/or investor relations is preferred. The position is in New York City.

BlackRock is seeking a product strategy associate for its long term private capital team. The  role combines product marketing and investment strategy skills and requires deep subject matter expertise, the ability to drive a project and to work in a team-based environment. Also, he or she will work in close cooperation with many of BlackRock’s teams including portfolio management, BlackRock alternative specialists, investor relations, finance, operations and executive management of the BlackRock alternative investors platform. Candidates should have four plus years of experience in a strategy, portfolio management, distribution or consultant relations; and a BA or BS degree in business, analytics or quantitative streams. The position is in New York City.
