StepStone is searching for a private equity co-investments associate/senior associate. Duties include performing market research using publicly available information and proprietary databases, interpreting financial analyses prepared by target fund managers, assessing marketing and supporting materials of prospective fund managers, and monitoring the performance of the firm’s existing investment portfolio. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of private equity, investment banking, consulting, or other relevant experience, including two to three years of direct or co-investment. Some background in venture/growth is desirable, but not required. The position is located in New York.

The role entails working with the due diligence team to evaluate prospective fundraising opportunities; providing advice to clients regarding fundraising strategy, sequencing, structuring, timing, and investors; interacting with senior private equity executives and investor relations teams across a global client base; and coaching and mentoring junior team members. Associates should have a minimum of four to five years of post-college financial services experience, ideally including fund placement, investor relations, financial sponsors, or private equity. The successful candidate will provide technical and industry advice to domestic and international companies from various sectors on their strategic alternatives.
