Duties include driving private equity fundraising strategy in Japan and broader Asia by collaborating with BlackRock PEP’s investment team and other investor relations colleagues; conducting in-depth due diligence discussions with prospects and sophisticated investors to identify private equity needs and appropriate solutions; and developing new product ideas and marketing materials for BlackRock PEP private equity funds. Candidates should have seven plus years (director level) of experience marketing private equity products in Japan to sophisticated investors and consultants. Also, he or she should have previous experience in the financial services/asset management/private market industry. Spoken fluency in English and Japanese is a must. The position is in Tokyo.
Neuberger Berman is looking to hire an associate (pre-MBA) for its secondary private equity team. Duties include screening and conducting due diligence on secondary private equity investment opportunities; performing in-depth research and financial analysis on companies and assets from various stages, sectors and geographies; and assisting with the preparation of due diligence materials, screening and investment committee memos. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials (both undergraduate school and GPA); at least one to two years of top-tier investment banking and/or private equity experience; and must be ranked near the top of their class with exceptional quantitative skills. The position is in New York.

TIAA is seeking a senior equity analyst to join the firm’s large-cap equity team. The hire will be responsible for covering assigned industry sectors. Experience covering healthcare or technology is preferred. He or she will perform research independently with little or no direct supervision and keep abreast of market news/investment-related developments in assigned coverage areas. Candidates should have a minimum of five to 10 years of equity buy-side experience; strong modeling and equity valuation skills; a deep knowledge of economics and capital market dynamics as well as enthusiasm for financial markets; and experience using Bloomberg and primary data providers such as Factset.
