The hire will assist in sourcing and deal origination of primary partnership investments, secondary transactions and direct investments and assist in conducting comprehensive due diligence. Also, he or she will aid in the preparation of investment memoranda and investment recommendations and assist in monitoring and optimizing existing portfolio investments. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in finance or business administration and a minimum three years of relevant industry experience, including private equity investing, manager selection, financial analysis, investment banking/M&A or strategic consulting. BlackRock is seeking an associate for its US Private Capital group. The hire will be responsible for the regular monitoring of the investments and preparation of periodic reports of performance. This position will report to the head of portfolio management and partner with other professionals within the organization. Candidates should have a finance or a related degree as well as two plus years of relevant experience. Investment banking experience is a plus. The position is in New York City.

Duties include assisting with reviewing daily cash and investment activity; monitoring and reporting on credit facility activity; preparation of capital drawdowns and distributions; and interacting with investors.
