Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Blackstone, Lazard, Point72 are hiring

Blackstone Insurance Solutions is searching for an associate. This newly formed business delivers Blackstone’s investment management expertise and products to insurance companies. Primary responsibilities include collaborating across Blackstone’s businesses to construct tailored multi-asset product offerings for insurers; drafting investment memos, presentations and marketing materials for potential and existing clients; constructing detailed financial models and valuation analyses; and conducting insurance industry research and analysis. Qualifications include three to five years’ work experience (investment banking, insurance or asset management preferred).

Lazard is hiring an associate, capital structure advisory. The role will be a mix between pure advisory work and transaction execution, helping provide strategic and tactical advice to corporate clients with respect to capital markets, capital structure and general corporate finance. The team works with all industry verticals in Financial Advisory and across all markets (debt, equity, convertibles, private placements, etc.). Responsibilities include financial analysis and modeling, company and market research, participation in the development of client presentations, managing deal processes and providing guidance to analysts, and interaction with senior bankers and clients. At least two to three years of experience, preferably in financial services, required. The position is located in New York.

Point72 is seeking a fintech venture associate to help identify and source early-stage investments. Duties include conducting financial, business and technology due diligence, including meeting with company management teams; analyzing investments, producing clear and concise theses and memos; developing financial models to project market size, investment returns and valuations; conducting market research and competitive analysis within sub-sectors of financial services; and supporting quarterly reporting of portfolio performance. Requirements include a demonstrated passion for emerging trends in technology and financial services. The position is located in New York.

Robert W. Baird has an opening for an investment banking analyst. The hire will provide analytical support on mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and other financial advisory services; assist in the preparation of valuations, financial models, company marketing documents and client presentations; and perform research and various analyses in support of new business generation. Candidates need at least one year of experience at a top-tier investment bank. The position is located in Milwaukee, WI.

Perkins Coie LLP is looking to add an experienced emerging companies/venture capital associate to its corporate group. Clients range from early-stage startups to mature industry leaders. Candidates should have solid academic credentials and at least three years of experience. The position is located in Seattle.
