Prior experience in private equity is preferred; a solid knowledge of business strategy, finance and accounting is desirable. The position is located in New York.
Blackstone Alternative Asset Management is looking to hire an associate in its Strategic Capital Group, which acquires minority interest in established alternative asset managers and provides seed capital for revenue-sharing interests in startup hedge funds. Responsibilities include financial analysis and modeling, investment research, assistance in the execution of transactions, cultivating a book of manager contacts for ongoing coverage, and communications with portfolio company senior management. Candidates should have four to seven years of industry experience. The position is located in New York.
Vista Equity Partners is in the market for an experienced private equity analyst. Duties include working with deal teams to help evaluate investment opportunities, research industry dynamics, analyze complex data sets to identify crucial financial and business information, and help manage portfolio company reporting, oversight, and operations. One to three years of relevant work experience required. Must be available to start in July 2018. The position is located in Chicago, Austin, or San Francisco.
Macquarie Capital has an opening for a vice president, TMT (technology, media and telecommunications). The successful candidate will apply his or her investment banking knowledge to assist clients in meeting their financial and strategic needs. He or she will also be expected to participate in the full execution of advisory, capital raising and principal transactions; in the pursuit of new business opportunities; and in the servicing of existing portfolio investments including debt and equity positions. Six to eight years of work experience, including significant exposure to M&A, debt, and equity capital markets, are required. The position is located in New York or Chicago.
Macquarie is also seeking an infrastructure private equity analyst. The hire will have primary responsibility for the financial modelling and analysis of companies and transactions; identify and execute M&A transactions, both new investments and add-on acquisitions; assist portfolio company management in developing business plans and strategy, including identifying and delivering operational and financial improvements and participating in board discussions; and execute financing transactions in the ongoing capital management of portfolio companies. Qualifications include one to three years in investment banking or private equity, including M&A execution experience. The position is located in New York.
