The hire will demonstrate leadership and business acumen while collaborating closely with internal S&E, enterprise strategy, R&D, finance, and commercial stakeholders and potential external partners. Also, he or she will lead or support deal teams to negotiate, contract and execute complex deals and recommend and develop equity investment deal structure and terms for transactions. An MBA, JD, PhD or other advanced business degree is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of experience within pharma and biotech and a minimum of three years of relevant M&A, VC or business development deals resulting in at least a few significant closed deals. Prior experience in VC in terms of managing relationships, executing limited partnership and equity investments, and curating industry knowledge, will be beneficial. BlackRock is seeking a private equity/capital markets/M&A transactional lawyer who will handle a wide range of private equity, venture capital and other capital markets transactions across North America. The hire will partner with portfolio managers, tax, operations, product lawyers, compliance team and external lawyers and will be responsible for advising on as well as negotiating complex legal transactions in connection with investments made on behalf of BlackRock clients and funds. Candidates should have a J.D. with superior academic credentials from a nationally-recognized law school and five to seven years’ experience as a lawyer in a major law firm or the legal department of an asset manager, investment bank or other leading organization. They should also have significant experience in private equity, co-invest, M&A and capital markets transactions. The position is in New York City.
Neuberger Berman is seeking a private equity senior associate/vice president. Duties include managing due diligence process; modeling of and verification of management company economics; and participating in investment and financial due diligence meetings. Candidates should have four to six years of experience at a top-tier investment bank, management consulting or accounting firm, or similar position at a leading asset management company. Also, he or she should have an undergraduate degree with excellent academic credentials; a CPA and/or MBA is preferred, but not a prerequisite. The position is in New York City.
Morgan Stanley Energy Partners is on the hunt for a pre-MBA associate. The hire will be actively engaged in the evaluation, structuring, negotiation and financing of transactions, as well as in the strategic assessment and implementation of operational initiatives at MSEP’s portfolio companies in partnership with their management teams.
