Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Cambridge Associates, Oregon State Treasury and Neuberger Berman are hiring

A weekly roundup of jobs in the private equity industry – from buyout shops to venture capital funds to investment banks.

Cambridge Associates is looking to hire an investment director of endowments and foundations. Duties include creating and developing diversified portfolios to enable increased returns and lower volatility; conducting analyses, preparing materials and directing clients on investment and financial issues; and selecting and evaluating investment managers for virtually all asset classes. Candidates should have a BA/BS degree; an MBA or CFA is strongly preferred. Also, he or she should have appropriate investment knowledge and experience gained from work at an investment firm or a large institutional investor or a family office. The position is in Arlington, Texas.

Ardenton Capital is on the hunt for a private equity vice president/originator. The hire will be responsible for all aspects of origination including relationship building, differentiating the Ardenton model and presenting Ardenton to sell-side advisors and potential acquisition targets. Also, he or she will work collaboratively with the investment team members to ensure appropriate geographic and industry coverage and promote the Ardenton story and investment model. Candidates should have  bachelor’s degree with a background in finance, marketing or business development; an MBA is considered an asset. He or she should have a minimum of 10 years of experience with at least five years in M&A (e.g. private equity, investment banking, business broker, etc.). The position is in Atlanta.

Oregon State Treasury is searching for an investment officer. The hire will conduct independent evaluations of investment proposals; screen prospective investments and perform due diligence; work with legal counsel to negotiate terms and conditions; manage relationships with existing general partners; monitor partnership compliance; and perform industry and portfolio analysis. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business or finance; and five years of investment management experience including two years of asset/portfolio management experience. The position is in Salem, Oregon.

Neuberger Berman is looking to hire a pre-MBA associate. Duties include analyzing and conducting comprehensive due diligence on potential primary fund investments and direct equity co-investment opportunities; performing in-depth analysis of companies, industries and private equity portfolios; and monitoring and reporting on firm’s existing investments through regular interaction with fund managers. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials (both undergraduate school and GPA); and have two years of top-tier investment banking program experience. The position is in New York.

Borgman Capital is seeking an analyst. Duties include supporting all aspects of transaction due diligence and capital raising activities; preparing financial models to assess new deal opportunities through sensitivity analysis of cost structures, business performance and capital structures; and cultivating relationships to source potential acquisition targets and help drive business development efforts. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or anther quantitative-focused field of study; an MBA is preferred. He or she should have one to three years of experience in private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory services, or corporate finance.
