Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Crosscut, GPP and Blue River are hiring

Crosscut is seeking a chief of staff. The hire will prepare agendas and run weekly partner meetings; shepherd partner meeting deliverables and execution week to week; and manage deals through the pipeline and capture key data on companies. Also, he or she will represent Crosscut as platform and operations lead externally; serve as firm-wide touchpoint for portfolio company communications; and identify and execute growth initiatives for our portfolio. Candidates should have five plus years of experience in fast-paced environments with a focus on business operations, project management or program management; and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Previous venture capital or investing experience is not a requirement. The position is in Los Angeles.

Great Point Partners is looking to hire a private equity associate. The hire will complete financial analyses, run financial models, make customer reference checks and carry out competitive analyses. Associates are typically involved in closing one to three investments per year and work within a team of three to four investment professionals. Candidates should have two to three years of investment banking, management consulting or investment management experience; and a strong record of academic achievement in college, typically graduating with academic honors. The position is in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Blue River Partners is searching for an associate for its compliance group. The hire will contribute to the oversight, execution and continuous improvement of the investment advisors’ compliance program. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance or a related field. Also he or she must have two to five years of direct investment adviser compliance industry experience supporting RIA compliance programs. The position is in Dallas.

Law firm Goodwin is seeking a senior associate for its private equity group. The hire must have experience both working in teams and in managing components of transactions independently, with specific experience in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture capital transactions and exits and equity compensation. Candidates should have outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. New York bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) is required. The position is in New York City.
