Duff & Phelps is looking to hire a mergers & acquisition managing director. The hire will work on a variety of transactions in all stages, from initial client pitches to transaction closings. Also, he or she will communicate regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers in corporate finance transactions. Candidates should have a minimum 10 years of experience serving the middle market with demonstrable M&A execution experience within the technology sector. Also required is a bachelor’s, master’s or MBA degree. The position is in Los Angeles.

The University of Southern California is seeking an investment manager. The hire will assist the chief investment officer and senior staff in managing the university’s endowment portfolios and its investment managers. Also, he or she will assist in the origination and management of all asset classes as determined by the senior staff and chief investment officer and conduct the necessary due diligence. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and minimum experience of five years. The position is in Los Angeles.

Coller Capital is on the hunt for an associate. The hire will participate in and contribute to all aspects of the deal process with responsibility for initial quantitative and qualitative analysis of portfolio companies and funds. Candidates should have 18 months to three years of relevant experience within a relevant industry. A good knowledge of the private equity secondaries market is desirable. The position is in New York.

CIM Group is seeking an investment associate. The hire will support the lead portfolio oversight for one or more CIM investment funds. Also, he or she will work with the investments team for buy/sell/hold recommendations on assets within an assigned portfolio and be involved in investor negotiations, fundraising and market research. Candidates should have one to three years of prior experience in real estate, investment banking or a related field; an MBA is preferred. The position is in Los Angeles.
