The hire will serve as one of the firm’s private equity specialists and be informed about current and developing trends in the sector; originate primary private equity fund, co-investment and secondary opportunities; lead deal team in evaluation and underwriting of fund, co-investment and secondary opportunities across various strategies; and aid management and active monitoring of Prudential’s core private equity relationships. The hire will work with the team in sourcing, underwriting, investing and managing new and existing fund and principal investments across the private equity portfolio. This position will be filled at one of two levels (senior analyst or associate) depending upon the qualifications of the individual selected and the discretion of the hiring manager. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, finance, accounting, operations research, math, information technology, liberal arts or a related area. A senior analyst should have a minimum of one year of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, corporate development or similar background while a senior associate should have a minimum of three years of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, corporate development or similar background.
