Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Google, Macquarie, Diligent are hiring

A weekly roundup of jobs in the private equity industry – from buyout shops to venture capital funds to investment banks.

Google has an opening for a venture capital, accelerator and startup business development manager on its cloud platform team. The successful candidate will work to persuade VCs, accelerators, and their portfolios to adopt Google’s cloud platform, and help them to implement the technology. Responsibilities include identifying and prioritizing key VCs with portfolio companies that have infrastructure needs and driving engagement to ensure successful use of the platform. Candidates should have at least four years of business development or sales experience in the cloud, web services, or infrastructure space, as well as familiarity with VCs/incubators/accelerators. The position is located in New York.

Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets is looking for a vice president to join its North American real estate team. The hire will work with senior executives on fund formation, asset acquisition, and asset management. He or she will have primarily responsibility for real estate portfolio investments and will oversee the due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and documentation of transactions. Qualifications include at least six to eight years’ experience in investment banking or private equity. M&A execution experience preferred. The position is located in New York.

Software-as-a-service company Diligent Corp is recruiting for a manager, corporate development. The hire will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for all aspects of strategic acquisitions and industry partnerships. Duties include sourcing and analyzing opportunities, developing segment and/or market strategies, and assisting in integration efforts related to M&A transactions. The successful candidate will have three to six years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or corporate development, with a track record of M&A work. The position is located in New York.

Technology and industrial company Johnson Controls is in the market for an executive director, mergers and acquisitions. Responsibilities include managing the global M&A pipeline and executing transactions (including valuation, deal structuring, due diligence, negotiations, etc.).  Qualifications include at least twelve years of experience, including in deal execution. MBA preferred. The position is located in Milwaukee.

Willis Towers Watson is seeking a project manager, mergers and acquisitions. The hire will lead the entire due diligence process, from initial engagement through deal close, and be responsible for creating and delivering reports to private equity clients. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of client management experience. Previous managerial or leadership experience is preferred. Valid broker license essential. The position is located in New York.
